Whether you are looking to refine your knife cutting techniques or you are just getting started, this class is for you! In this class you will receive the tools and workspace needed to apply and practice a variety of knife cutting techniques. This is your last chance to improve those knife skills before the holidays! Each class attendee will learn how to slice and dice onions, julienne and batonnet carrots, mince garlic, chiffonade herbs and make a decorative fruit platter. Chef Nikki will also go over how to properly care for your knives, how to use a knife steel for honing, how to use a whetstone for sharpening and what to look for when purchasing a quality knife. By the end of the class you’ll be ready to start slicing and dicing like a pro! * We encourage each of our participants to bring in two (2) of their kitchen knives for us to sharpen during class for free, any other amount of knives can be sharpened for 75¢ per inch*
